There was tension at the NYSC orientation camp, Karaye, Kano State, yesterday, following a clash between corps members and soldiers.
The clash stemmed from the excessive punishment being given to the corps members and little or no social activities in the camp.
The matter reached a climax yesterday, after some corpers where allegedly punished while returning from fellowship. It took the intervention of the State NYSC coordinator to calm the situation down.
The corpers later demanded that the camp commander be decamped, a request that was eventually granted.
