The Christian Igbo Professionals Network (CIPN) has founded a Igbo language school in Frankfurt, Germany, African Courier reports.
The school’s opening ceremony was held on Saturday, with its aim to afford Africans born and bred in the diaspora the opportunity to learn their mother-tongue.
In a press statement signed by Stanley Okoli and Che Chidi Chukwumerije, Chairman and Secretary of the CIPN respectively, they said the school aims not just to teach Igbo children born in Germany, but also others interested. They said:
“The Igbo Language School Frankfurt Germany was conceived to teach Igbo language to Igbo children in Germany as well as to other interested persons, and to promote friendship amongst cultures.”
