Recall that we reported few days ago that residents and passersby along a canal opposite Babalola bus stop, Itire, Lagos State, gaped in horror as a severed head of a newborn baby was found beside the canal.
It was gathered that the residents who woke up to the gory sight, claimed that the baby is a victim of ritual killings and they probably used the other parts of the baby for their rituals, and then dumped the head as it was of no use to them. According to reports from the area, it was gathered that the hairy head of the baby was kept inside a black pot with bloodstains around it and then placed beside the canal.
A resident, Kabiru Anifowoshe, who was at the scene revealed that he was on his way to work around 8am when he saw a large crowd at the spot. He hen decided to move closer to see what was happening.
