Nollywood actress, Steph Nora Okeke, who was quite famous in the early 90’s has declared that she’s not in the same league with the likes of Omotola and Genevieve.
Steph Nora Okeke started her acting career immediately after her compulsory National Youth Service Corps program in 1995 and she became quite popular in the industry over time but not much has been heard of her in recent times.
Her shot to limelight began when she featured in a Kenneth Nebu’s movie ‘blood of the orphan’ after which she then went further to star in so many more movies and TV series.
Steph Okeke was asked in an interview about her opinion on the general notion that Nollywood actresses Omotola Jalade and Genevive Nnaji are her contemporaries in the industry and she responded by saying she had become popular before the duo gained their entry into the industry.
She mentioned the likes of Liz Benson, Eucharia Anunobi, Susan Patrick and Alex Lopez as the set of actresses that could be considered as her mates in the industry:
In her words:
“I had already cut my teeth in the industry way before they came in. but while in the industry we did some jobs together. I started acting with the likes of Sandra Achums, Eucharia Anunobi, Liz Benson, Alex Lopez and Susan Patrick and a host of others.”
It can be recollected that the duo of Omotola and Genevieve are still so much relevant in the industry with features in some of the latest blockbusters.
Omotola Jalade on the other hand recently celebrated her 40th birthday and as information would spread. It is still considered as the biggest birthday bash of any Nigerian celebrity inn the year 2018.
The week-long celebration was graced by the most important personalities cut across every industry in the country.
