Residents of 53 Obakhavbaye Street in Benin City and environs were thrown into mourning after the body of Abdulaziz, an 8-month-old baby was found dead inside a four-feet water drum just after his mum stepped out.
The incident reportedly occurred after the mother of the baby went out to urinate at about 6am. Upon her return, it was gathered that she couldn’t find the baby where she kept him. After three hours of searching around the house, the baby was found dead inside a water drum. The landlord of the house, Ali Abubakar, said he was observing his prayers when he heard shoutings and wailings.

Ali said he went downstairs and was told that Abdulaziz died inside a drum of water.
“It is difficult for that baby to open that drum and enter inside. We don’t know what happened yet but it is a mystery.”
A neighbor who gave her name as Blessing Akpo said it was only God that would unravel the baby’s killers. “I have never seen where a baby that is eight months old will open a drum of water, enter inside and close it.”
According to online sources, the deceased’s father and his two wives were invited by the Policemen from Aideyan Police station for interrogation. Here’s the video below;
This is coming after it was reported that a heartless housewife, reportedly dumped her stepdaughters inside a well in a Nasarawa State community. The 20-year-old housewife, Aisha Isah, was arrested by the Police Command in Nasarawa State for allegedly throwing her two stepdaughters, Zainab 4, and Baaba 2, into a well over a disagreement with her co-wife.
Investigation revealed that Aisha, who is the second wife of Alhaji Isah, was always at loggerhead with the first wife, Maimuna, and that all efforts by their husband to settle their differences were unsuccessful.
