#TvinFullHD, #FullHD and #NewTV are some of the hashtags I’ve seen in the past week, especially on social media and I couldn’t help but wonder what the movement was about. Out of sheer curiosity, I did a little research of my own and I discovered something very interesting and exciting for all Nigerian TV lovers.
Growing up, TV Time was one of the most exciting times for us as we got to enjoy quality family entertainment that was also very educative ( not like my parents would have allowed us watch something else, LOL). Lately I wondered and asked around if any of those shows still run and to my disappointment, they don’t . And not only that, there’s nothing close (especially on local TV) to those quality entertainment we enjoyed in our days.
So when this hashtag popped up on my TL, I looked it up. Imagine my excitement when I found out that the buzz was about a new TV Chanel that’s about to be launched in Nigeria!
You wonder what’s so special right? I mean it’s just a tv channel right ?
No, It is not just a TV Chanel. Its one of a kind, and FULL HD.
It’s comes from the stables of Solution Media and Infotech, owners of Hi-Impact Planet, Nigeria’s largest Amusement Park and Resort.The station will be officially unveiled on June 1, 2018.
The station, Hi-Impact TV, which will be commissioned on May 29, 2018, will revolutionize family entertainment and education, with an introduction of innovative learning programming.
This is particularly exciting for me because I think this kind of quality programming Hi Impact TV promises to introduce will be a strong breath of fresh air.
Chairman of the organization, Prince Adeyanju Lipede told the general public what to expect, saying:
“The television station will be edutainment-based, focusing mainly on education, entertainment and family. Just as our pay-off, ‘Securing the Future’, Hi-Impact TV will air programs that have meaningful impacts for the family which will include drama series, cartoons and on-air classes to mention just a few.”
Lipede also said that as his company, Solution Media & Infotech, is noted for excellence and quality, and that a lot has been invested in the station in every sphere, including content and technical quality, to ensure that it is the best in town.
This will be evident in the broadcast quality as the station will transmit all its programmes on full High Definition.
Prince Adeyanju Lipede added:
“As a way of assisting our children excel in the Junior/Senior Secondary School Examinations conducted by WAEC, NECO as well as the Joint Matriculations Exams (JAMB), we have designed a program called ‘Syllabus for Excellence’ to take care of those subjects that usually pose challenges to students, as one of our many programmes.”
Other quality entertainment programmes expected on the station include an array of exceptional international titles, captivating telenovelas, indigenously produced contents celebrating the African culture of dance, drama and music from different African ethnic groups, and a few others from other non-African climes.
Hi-Impact TV, I hear will be a 24-hour station that will transmit live from the heart of Hi-Impact Planet Amusement Park on June 1, 2018 and broadcast on the Free-to-Air platform from ViewSat and other major cable platforms.
With all this to expect, it is safe to say that HiimpactTV is about to bring a revolution to cable entertainment in Nigeria.
