2019 Elections: PDP, R-APC, SDP, 36 Others Sign MoU Against APC [PHOTOS]
The Peoples Democratic Party, Social Democratic Party and 37 other political parties and groups on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding ahead of the 2019 general elections.
The National Chairmen of the political parties signed the MoU at the Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja, and pledged to work together under the “Coalition for United Democratic Parties” to produce a presidential candidate for the 2019 election.
The other political parties in the alliance are Action Alliance, Reformed- All Progressives Congress, Alliance for Democracy, Africa Democratic Party, Action Democratic Party and All Grand Alliance Party.
The coalition also has Action Peoples Party, Advanced Congress of Democrats, Better Nigeria Progressive Party, Democratic Alternative, Democratic Peoples Party and Grand Democratic Party of Nigeria.
Others are Green Party of Nigeria, KOWA Party, Labour Party, Mass Action Joint Alliance, Masses Movement of Nigeria, National Conscience Party, New Generation Party and National Unity Party.
Nigeria Intervention Movement, Peoples Alliance for National Development and Liberty, Peoples Progressive Party, People for Democratic Change and Providence People’s Congress are also in the group.
They also include Restoration Party of Nigeria, Unity Party of Nigeria, All Grassroots Alliance, National Interest Party, Nigeria Democratic Congress Party, Progressive Peoples Alliance and Young Democratic Party.
Some of the dignitaries at the event were Deputy President of the Senate, Chief Ike Ekweremadu; former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar; Chief Tom Ikimi; Senator Dino Melaye; serving and former governors, including Peter Obi.
