The 2018 International Emmy Awards was held on Monday in New York City, making it the 48th edition of the award that recognises excellence in films produced across the world.
Danish actor star Lars Mikkelsen (House of Cards, Sherlock) won the best performance by an actor award for his role as priest Johannes in the religious drama Herrens Veje (Ride Upon the Storm); while Germany’s Anna Schudt won the best performance by an actress award for playing comedian Gaby Köster in the dark comedy (The Sniffles would have been fine).
