Actress Funmilayo Ogunsola AKA ‘Ijewuru’ Passes On
Veteran Nigerian actress, Funmilayo Ogunsola popularly known as “Ijewuru” has passed on. She died from a heart attack at her residence in Ibadan.
The Yoruba actress, who was very popular in the 90’s and early 2000’s was the fourth wife of late veteran Yoruba actor, Ishola Ogunsola, a.k.a. I Show Pepper. I Show Pepper had 5 wives in all.
One of her relation who she’s survived by revealed this on Facebook apage saying:
I never thought I’d ever use these pictures to say RIP to you ma but who am I to question you, God?. Mother like you is scarce. A very good, prayerful, and friendly mother to all. We (Ogunsola Isho Pepper) are all going to miss you Grandma Ogunsola Funmilayo Iya Ijewuru. May God forgive you of all your shortcomings🙏 😭😢😵😷 and grant you eternal rest🙏. Rest on the Bossom of our Lord Christ till we meet and part no more.
Her husband ‘I Show Pepper’ was one of the founding members of Association of National Theater Arts Practitioners.
His contemporaries include Jimoh Alihu, Charles Olumo, late Afolabi Afolayan (Jagua), Femi Adeyemo aka Babangbalife. He died in 1992.
