The Federal Government of Nigeria through the honourable minister for health Prof. Isaac Adewole has harkened to the plea of the Theatre Arts and Motions Pictures Producers Association of Nigeria, TAMPAN’s President Otunba Bolaji Amusan and directed that Mr Babatunde Omidina popularly known as Baba Suwe be immediately taken to Lagos University Teaching Hospital Idi Arabia for first class medical attention and treatment.
The honourable minister who placed a call to Chief medical director of LUTH on the matter lauded the national excos of TAMPAN for their relentless effort in using their resources to gain support for the renown actor. He further promised the association his full support as the body created a health insurance scheme for the members.
Tampan President Otunba Bolaji Amusan popularly known as Mr Latin appreciated the Hon Minister’s swift response and thanked the federal government for giving the association a listening ear.
Otunba Amusan also thanked actor Muyiwa Adegoke popularly known as Londoner for his efforts too. He also praised the kind gesture of the Vice President of Nigeria Prof Yemi Osinbajo who made a N1 million donation, actors and all well meaning Nigerians home and abroad.
