President Muhammadu Buhari has defeated his rival Atiku Abubakar, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party at his polling unit.
The first result to come in was that of President Muhammadu Buhari who won his polling unit, PU003 at Sarkin Yara ward A, in Daura, Katsina.
The president scored 523 votes while the Presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar got 3 votes.
The announcement of results from Atiku’s polling unit where he voted in Ajiya unit 02 in Gwadabawa Ward of Yola North Local Government Area of Adamawa came in with the APC scoring 187, while PDP got 167 in the 2019 presidential poll.
The Assistant Presiding Officer, Mr Abdulrasheed Mohammed, who announced the results, said a total of 365 votes were cast for the presidential election at the unit.
