#NigeriaDecides: INEC Releases Colour Of Ballot Papers, Boxes
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has released colours of the ballot papers and boxes for the Presidential and National Assembly Elections on Feb. 16.
INEC Head of Voter Education and Publicity in Anambra state, Leo Nkedife said via a press release, that different colours of boxes and ballot papers will be used for the Presidential, Senatorial and House of Representatives ballots at the polling stations.
It further stated that a red ballot paper and red box would be for the presidential election, and the black ballot paper and black box would be for senatorial elections, green ballot paper and green box would be for House of Representatives.
The release urged the electorate to increase their knowledge concerning the Feb. 16 elections.
Also, Mohammed Adamu, Inspector-General of Police (IGP), has ordered that there should be no vehicular movement from 6 am to 6 pm on Saturday.
He said that the restriction would assist the security agencies to effectively police the electoral process and prevent criminally-minded elements from disrupting the electoral process.
Mba said the IG urged the citizens to go out en-masse on the day of the election to exercise their franchise without any fear or apprehension.
And then, The Minister of Interior, Lt.-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (rtd), has directed the closure of all Nigerian land borders with effect from Friday, February 15 to Sunday, February 17 for the Saturday Presidential and National Assembly elections.
