Sanwo-Olu Thrills Lagosians For Valentines At ‘Passion To Serve’ Event
The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, yesterday celebrated Valentine’s Day with residents of the state during an event organised by some of his ardent supporters around Lagos tagged ‘A Passion to Serve’.
The event which held at 5 locations in Lagos: Abule Egba, Festac, Ikeja, Surulere, and Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos featured music, dance competitions, Fashion parades, drama etc. Pretty ladies in red dubbed ‘Sanwo Angels’ were at all the venues handing out roses to people and sharing Sanwoolu THEME cards to well meaning Lagosians who came to show love to the aspiring Governor.

Sanwo-Olu in company with his running mate, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, also graced the event, making a surprise appearance at the Ikeja Under-bridge venue. He used the opportunity to reaffirm his passion to serve, and commitment to birthing a greater Lagos that would immensely improve the quality of life of Lagosians. He also took the opportunity to personally share roses and other gifts to Lagosians who came in the spirit of Valentine.
Addressing the people at Ikeja, Sanwo-Olu reiterated that health, a cleaner and safer environment, traffic management and transportation, security as well as improved economy would be accorded priority amongst other laudable programmes his administration would offer the residents of the state.
“From the creative energies of our youths, the spirit of enterprise in our land, to the wisdom of our elders, I am persuaded a greater Lagos is possible. There could not have been a better day for me to tell you of my love to serve you than today,” he said. Speaking on Healthcare, security he continued:
“Our major healthcare plan is to improve access and affordability through comprehensive health insurance and improve primary and secondary health facilities. And for our environment, LAWMA’s waste management system will be upgraded for better service delivery while we implement measures to turn waste to wealth and ensure a clean and healthy environment in Lagos,” he added.
As expected, the campaign elicited a lot of commentary, and mixed reactions on social media. While some skeptics didn’t think much of the idea, many others lauded Sanwo-olu for his campaign consistency and ability to carry everyone along.
