“I’m More Than A Feminist!”- Anto Lecky Says As She Pays Tribute To Chioma Ajunwa, Chimamanda Adiche, Others For International Womens’ Day
Ex Big Brother Naija House mate Anto Lecky has paid tribute to 10 remarkable Nigerian women to celebrate 2019’s international women’s day.
The 29 year old recreated popular images of Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti, Chioma Ajunwa, Linda Ikeji, Kemi Adetiba, Late Dr Stella Adadevoh, Nike Davies-Okundaye, Tiwa Savage, Chimamanda Adichie, Genevieve Nnaji and Mo Abudu.
In the post she also said that she is more than a feminist and went ahead to explain her stance. Read what she wrote below:
his International Women’s Day, I pay tribute to some Nigerian women who inspire me professionally and personally, who have been able to break barriers professionally, while dealing with personal issues impeccably. You should know who all of these women are already and if you don’t, now you do! Please research these and more women because they can inspire you as well.
I get asked if I’m a feminist. I’m more than a feminist; woman was brought to this world because man NEEDED her, woman brings LIFE to this world. Life CANNOT go one without woman. The sooner we all, women and men, accept this, we will reach gender equality.
