Since winning the parties primaries he has relentlessly campaigned on and off social media, engaging both the young and old on his policies, and promising that his government will be one of inclusiveness.

He was born to Pa Simon and Madam Omotunde Sanwo-Olu on June 25, 1965 in Lagos.
Young Sanwo-olu briefly attended the Government Demonstration School, Gbaja Surulere area of the state before moving to Ijebu-Ife Gramma School, Ogun State to complete his secondary education.
From there, he was admitted to the University of Lagos where he studied Surveying and Geo-information. He also has a Masters Degree in Business administration from same institution.

Sanwo-Olu is happily married to Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, a medical doctor and they are blessed with lovely children.
