Unmasked: Game Of Thrones' Night King has been unmasked as hunky Slovakian stuntman-turned-actor Vladimir Furdik

In Game of Thrones , he instills terror and trepidation and commands the dead. Dubbed as one of the best villains on Television, the Night King after 8 seasons finally met his water loo on Sunday. He was stabbed with dragon glass by Arya Stark, played by Maisie Williams on the show’s 3rd episode dubbed ‘The Battle of Winterfell.” But who is The Night King???

The sadistic Night King has been unmasked as hunky Slovakian stuntman-turned-actor Vladimir Furdik, who has previously appeared in blockbusters Skyfall and Thor: The Dark World.

Gone are the eerie prosthetics and chilling CGI blue eyes, as the handsome star, 48, shows off chiselled features and classic good looks on his Instagram page.

Giving a glimpse into his evil Game of Thrones role – which he has played since season six, the star is seen in make-up covered in dove grey prosthetics and posing up with co-stars Gwendoline Christie who plays Brienne of Tart  and Kristofer Hivju  known as Tormund Giantsbane.

Showing he is nothing like his ruthless on-screen alter-ego, Vladimir is seen enjoying an ice-cream before filming a battle scene and adorably kissing a horse on the nose.

The Night King was previously played by Welsh actor Richard Brake in seasons four and five.

Vladimir’s first Hollywood break was in The Three Musketeers in 1993, starring Charlie Sheen and Kiefer Sutherland.

He also performed stunts in films including 2013’s Thor: The Dark World and 2012’s Skyfall.

The hunk also appeared as a stunt double for Nicholas Cage in the 2011 film, The Season of the Witch, sharing a photo of his transformation on his instagram page.

His acting credits include a role in the 2011 film Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, as Andrzej, one of the gypsies guiding Holmes and his pals over the French border, while pursued by Moriarty’s henchmen.

Although his terrifying visage has become an emblem of the war waged by his White Walker army, the star has also appeared without his signature prosthetics.

In season six, episode five episode, The Door, Vladimir plays a mortal man chosen by the Children of the Forest to become their weapon against men.

He is tied to a tree and stabbed by Children of the Forest leader, Leaf, turning him into the first White Walker.

The Night King sent fans into a frenzy when he was killed during the Battle of Winterfell by Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) after it appeared that all hope was seemingly lost.

She stabbed him with her valyrian steel dagger, killing him with her dragon glass blade, and killing all of the white walkers en masse.
