Kris Jenner Appears Shocked As She Learns Kim Kardashian’s Surrogate Has Gone Into Labor On Ellen Show
The moment Kris Jenner found out her daughter Kim Kardashian’s surrogate was going into labor was all captured on an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
The reality star, 63, appeared truly stunned as she was surprised by the news by her daughter Kourtney Kardashian.
‘My mom doesn’t even know this, but Kim’s surrogate went into labour,’ Kourtney revealed, shocking Kris and the audience.
‘No!’ Kris exclaimed, her eyes growing wide with surprise.
‘What are we doing sitting here!?’ she asked. ‘Fire up the car!’ she said, wiping away tears from the eyes with a tissue.
Did anyone else know this?’ Ellen asked.
‘No!’ Kourtney replied.
‘So we had to keep it quiet,’ Ellen asked. ‘But yes, that’s why she’s not here, ’cause the surrogate went into labor, she’s there,’ she continued, referencing Kim’s absence.
‘For how long!?’ Kris asked before urging audiences to keep the news a secret.
‘And nobody knows, so everyone in the audience, don’t tell!’ Kourtney said.
‘Yeah no tweeting or posting yet!’ Kris elaborated.
It was an extra special episode of the Ellen DeGeneres Show for Kris, who was surprised on stage by her grandchildren.
The reality star appeared emotional as she watched Mason Disick, nine, North West, five, Penelope Disick, six, Reign Disick, four, Saint West, three, and Chicago West, one, head on stage alongside Kourtney.
Kourtney headed out carrying Chicago as the youngsters made their way onto stage.
Kris already appeared to be holding back tears as she watched her grandchildren walk onto the stage, before giving the youngsters a hug.
‘Oh my God this is the best surprise!’ Kris gushed as she sat on the couch with Penelope on her lap.
‘I’m so excited, I saw Reign and Penelope last night for a couple of minutes and I’ve been gone for a minute, and so I haven’t seen the rest of them, so this makes me so happy!’ Kris later gushed.
Once all the kids had settled onto the couch, Ellen asked the children to introduce themselves to the audience – but young Reign was adorably determined to steal the spotlight, and constantly repeated his name to the crowd.
Before being surprised by her family, Kris spoke with Ellen about the joys of pregnancy.
‘I love being pregnant,’ she said, explaining she loved giving birth.
‘I wasn’t one of those girls who thought I was going to do it naturally, I needed to have, you know, a little assist, but once I had the epidural and surrendered to the whole experience… another human being is coming out of you. You’re making a baby, it’s a miracle!’ she gushed.
She advised the audience full of expectant mothers to cherish every second with their children.
‘When you first become a mom, the most important thing is just to enjoy every second because it goes by so fast. I mean, so fast! In a blink of an eye! We celebrated Kourtney’s 40th birthday this last month, and I can’t believe I have a 40-year-old.
‘But every single thing, movies, pictures, write things down, it’s just a special, special time in your life. You can’t really explain it to someone until you guys have all gone through it, but in the very beginning I think the most delicious time for me was being quiet and shutting out the world, and taking care of your baby, and get the nursing down right if you’re gonna nurse.
‘I didn’t nurse my first one, because I don’t know I was afraid of the whole process, but then others I nursed, and some are tall and some are short, I don’t know if there’s any truth to that. I think that just really enjoying every moment is just the most important advice.’
As a gift for having delivered granddaughters Stormi and True, Ellen gave Kris hot pink scrubs bearing the nickname her grandchildren call her by, Lovey.
