Drama As United States Embassy Denies Bishop Oyedepo Visa Amid U.S Travel Ban List
Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide also known as Winners Chapel has been denied visa by the United States Embassy in Lagos.
According to reports, he was denied visa in what appears to be in accordance to President Trump’s anti-immigrant stance.

However, Oyedepo who created a scene whilst querying the grounds for his visa denial, stated that he had been traveling to the states as far back as 1980s.
The preacher went further saying he has never violated any rules or committed any crime to have warranted being denied a renewal of his visa.
According to the source, he immediately sent for his bodyguards to get his phones so he could make some calls, but the embassy allegedly told him he could not make calls within the precincts of the visa-issuing section of the embassy.

The United States Embassy in Nigeria has been hard on Nigerians seeking visas.
A report in ThisDay also said Kris Asimonye, wife of popular comedian, Abovi Ugboma (Bovi), was also denied visa on Thursday though the comedian’s application was approved.
Nigerians with valid United States visas have reportedly been receiving emails from the embassy notifying them that their visas had been revoked without any explanations.

ThisDay also reported that no reason for the denial was stated other than the Bishop did not qualify for visa renewal in its assessment and was urged to re-apply.
President Donald Trump last week confirmed his intention to expand the travel ban he imposed on at least five countries when he took office.
Nigeria, being one of the countries where nationals apply massively for US visa, is being considered to be added to the growing list.
