Nominations for 92nd Oscars Academy Awards have been announced with “Joker” leading the Academy Award contenders with 11 nominations, including best picture.

John Cho and Issa Rae made the announcement this morning with a total of 24 categories nominations.

The dark comic drama “Joker” led with 11 nominations while “The Irishman”, “1917” and “Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood” each received 10 nominations.

The best-picture category also had nine nominations which includes: “1917,” “Ford v Ferrari,” “The Irishman,” “Jojo Rabbit,” “Joker,” “Little Women,” “Marriage Story,” “Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood,” and “Parasite.”

Scarlett Johansson scored a rare double acting nomination for best actress and best supporting actress for her work in “Marriage Story” and “JoJo Rabbit” respectively.

Cynthia Erivo was also nominated for two awards: best actress and original song for “Stand Up” both for the film “Harriet.”

The 92nd Academy Awards ceremony will take place on February 9 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California.

According to ABC Entertainment president, Karey Burke, there will be no host at the Oscars, for the second year in a row.

He made this announcement last week when speaking at the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour in Pasadena.

Let me confirm it now, together with the Academy, that there will be no traditional host this year. We would repeat what worked last year.
