Veteran Nigerian Singer, Eedris Abdulkareem Alleges Burna Boy Stole A Lot Of Late Fela Anikulapo Kuti’s Songs
Veteran Nigerian singer, Eedris Abdulkareem, has accused Burna Boy of stealing a lot of songs owned by late Afro-beat legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti.
Eedris Abdulkareem made the allegation during a television show interview on TVC’s “Entertainment Splash.”
He alleged that Burna Boy, the “African Giant” crooner needs to apologize to Fela because the late legend made him successful as a singer.
Eedris also questioned the message Burna Boy passes with his music as he pointed out that Fela’s song came with meaningful messages. He said;
Burna Boy needs to apologize. Fela made it happen for him and he stole from a lot of Fela’s song to become who you are. And you stole from Afrobeats to become who you are. Fela’s songs are strictly about messages that add value to the lives of people. What are your songs all about?
