Just In: Lagos Records Third Confirmed Case of Coronavirus
Commissioner of Health in Lagos State, Professor Akin Abayomi has on March 17 announced that Lagos state has recorded a third confirmed case of coronavirus in the state.
Abayomi made this known in a series of tweets on his official Twitter account.
He tweeted that the case is that of a 30-year-old Nigerian woman, a member of Non-Government Organization (NGO) community, who travelled from UK to Lagos on 13th of March 2020.

– Observed self-Isolation, developed symptoms
– Tested positive

According to the commissioner, this new case is independent of the index case and the patient who is in self-isolation is receiving care at the Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba.
With this development, the state now has two cases of confirmed Coronavirus, including the index case.
