As at the time of filing this report, Oyo state has 7 confirmed cases.
On March 19, Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, was bashed by social media users for exposing hundreds of people to Coronavirus spreading in the state.
Peoples Democratic Party had on March 18 staged a ‘mega rally’ with over a thousand people present.
Makinde however apologized for what Twitter users described as “irresponsible” and “insensitive” for exposing people to the danger of Coronavirus.
He came out to say he regretted his actions, adding that the rally “should not have happened”.
