While the 39-year-old awaited trial, the prison staged a futsal football tournament.
Although reluctant to take part in a tournament – which offered a 16kg pig to the winners, Ronaldinho played in a match, helping his team to an 11-2 victory in the tournament’s final.
It had been reported that Ronaldinho could only participate if he didn’t score any goals.
GloboEsporte reports that a source inside the prison said Ronaldinho is less dejected now and has been going out in the prison yard more.
He will return to court on March 17 for his trial. Hopefully, he will be a free man again.
