“3rd Ondo COVID-19 Case Not A Serving Corps Member” – Governor Rotimi Akeredolu
Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu has said contrary to online reports about the state’s third Coronavirus case, the infected person is not a serving member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
Akeredolu, in a tweet on his Twitter account on Tuesday, explained that the victim was an ex-corps member that served at the 32 Artillery Brigade, Owena Cantonment that had been in contact with the index case.
In his tweet, he stated;

In a follow up tweet, Governor Akeredolu added;

It would be recalled that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Monday night confirmed 20 new cases of Coronavirus across the country.
Out of the 20 new cases recorded, one was in Ondo State, totalling 3 cases in the state.
As at press time, Nigeria has 343 confirmed cases of the novel Coronavirus, 91 recovered persons and 10 reported deaths so far.
