Another Veteran Indian Actor Rishi Kapoor Dies
Veteran Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor has died after a two-year-long battle with cancer.
The 67-year-old actor died at an hospital in Mumbai, India on Thursday morning.
Kapoor, was diagnosed with cancer in 2018 and returned to India last September following treatment in New York.
An official statement from his family announcing his death reads;
His death comes a day after another Bollywood star Irrfan Khan also passed away from cancer.
Rishi Kapoor is survived by wife Neetu Kapoor, son Ranbir and daughter Ridhima.
Over the course of his career, Kapoor acted in more than 100 films, playing both the romantic lead and character roles.
He was part of hit films such as Bobby, Amar Akbar Anthony, Laila Majnu, Rafoo Chakkar , Sargam, Karz, Prem Rog, Chandni, Heena, Karz, Bol Radha Bol, and Saagar.
