Governor El-Rufai’s Son, Bello, Apologises For Hurtful Comments On Twitter
Bello El-Rufai, son of Kaduna state governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has tendered an apology days after saying he will ‘pass a Twitter user’s mother to his friends’.
On Sunday April 12, Bello had in a series of tweets lashed out at some Twitter users and used tribalistic comments in his tweets during an argument about Donald Trump and Presient Buhari‘s leadership skills in managing the Coronavirus pandemic.
He had also threatened to “pass” the mother of the Twitter users to his friends, in a direct message he sent to him, saying;
Tell your mother I’m passing her to my friends tonight.”
Following the huge backlash he received from many Nigerians, and after his mum who initially supported him, backtracked and apologized, Bello has offered an apology for his tweets.
In his apology, which is coming 5 days after the incident, he said he is sorry for attacking an ”entire ethnic group” during his Twitter rant on Sunday.
