Just In: Total Coronavirus Cases In Nigeria Hits 174 As NCDC Confirms 23 New Cases
Total Coronavirus cases has risen to 174 as Nigeria records 23 new confirmed cases on Wednesday night.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known in a tweet posted at 8:00pm on its official Twitter account.
The tweet shows that there are 9 new cases in Lagos, 7 in Abuja, 5 in Akwa Ibom and one case each in Kaduna and Bauchi state.
Twenty-three new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria; 9 in Lagos, 7 in the FCT, 5 in Akwa Ibom, 1 in Kaduna and 1 in Bauchi State.
As at 08:00 pm 1st April there are 174 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Nine have been discharged with two deaths

In a following tweet, the NCDC stated that Lagos with 91 infected persons remains the state with the highest number of cases.
Cases in the Federal Capital Territory has also increased to 35.

As at 12:30pm on Wednesday, the Centre announced that it had confirmed twelve new cases of Coronavirus, increasing the total cases in Nigeria to 151.
The NCDC in its tweet reported that there were 9 new cases in Osun, 2 in Edo and 1 in Ekiti state.
The new confirmed infection has now increased total cases in the country from 151 cases to 174 in less than 24 hours.
Earlier today also, MDB had reported that four days after President Muhammadu Buhari ordered for a lockdown in Lagos, Ogun and Abuja, the presidency approved a total of 7,000 metric tonnes of grains for distribution to the poor and vulnerable.
This was disclosed by Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, at a national briefing held today in Abuja.
According to the SGF, the first tranche will go to the states on lockdown which includes Lagos, Ogun and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
