Man Allegedly ‘Entertains’ Male Visitors By Offering His Daughter For Sexual Intercourse
Imo State police command have arrested a 44-year-old man for allegedly defiling his 15-year-old daughter.
It was also alleged that the man identified as Chinomso Okonkwo, was also in the habit of offering the same victim to his friends as ‘kola/welcome gift’ whenever they come to visit him.
The spokesman of the police in the state, SP Orlando Ikeokwu, said the man was arrested based on credible information, adding that he had confessed to the crime.
According to him, operatives of Orji Divisional headquarter arrested the suspect on Monday, based on credible information.
Ikeokwu, in a statement, said;
It is noteworthy, that it wasn’t the first time this is happening, and that he normally invites his friends who come to his house to have carnal knowledge of his own daughter.
Okonkwo has been detained, while an investigation into the allegations has commenced.
Meanwhile, policemen of the Ondo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have arrested a man identified as Femi Adejuwon for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl.
The state Commandant of the NSCDC, Mr Philip Ayuba, made this disclosure in a statement on Tuesday.
The commandant stated that the suspect was a student of the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
He said;
Information reaching us from concerned citizens in the Ijoka area of Akure on Sunday, April 12, 2020, was that a 16-year-old girl, who is currently seeking admission into a higher institution, was allegedly raped by one Femi Adejuwon, an undergraduate of the Accountancy Department of the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti.
During investigation, the victim narrated her ordeal in the hands of the suspect after being discharged from the Police Clinic, Akure.
Ayuba revealed that;
She said the suspect called her on the telephone to meet him in his friend’s place. On getting there, Femi Adejuwon took her in, shut the door and violated her. She was later rescued in a pool of her own blood.
The NSCDC boss noted that the suspect had confessed to the crime, allegedly blaming the devil for his action.
Ayuba said the suspect would be charged as soon as investigation was completed.
The commandant advised parents and guardians to keep watch over their children and wards, especially during the Coronavirus pandemic.
