Man City Manager Pep Guardiola’s Mother Dies Of Coronavirus
Manchester City football club manager, Pep Guardiola’s mother, Dolors Sala Carrio has died from coronavirus.
The club announced this in a tweet, saying Dolors passed away in Barcelona at age 82.
In a statement on Twitter, the club said;
The Manchester City family are devastated to report the death today of Pep’s mother Dolors Sala Carrió in Manresa, Barcelona after contracting coronavirus. She was 82 years old.

The club stated that;

Club chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak condoned with Gadiolas family in a statement saying;
Our prayers and heartfelt sympathies are with Pep and his family at this overwhelmingly sad time.
Chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak has spoken in reaction to the tragic passing of Pep’s mother, saying, “Our prayers and heartfelt sympathies are with Pep and his family at this overwhelmingly sad time. He and they have the love and support of the entire City family.”

Pep is currently in Spain, having returned to his home country during the ongoing postponement of the Premier League.
Dolors was married to Pep’s father, Valenti, and was also mother to Pep’s two older sisters and younger brother Pere, a football agent.
She saw Pep enjoy a hugely successful playing career, mostly with Barcelona, where he won six Spanish titles and the European Cup.
Last month, Pep made a £920,000 donation to the Barcelona-based Angel Soler Daniel Foundation which is linked to the Official College of Doctors of Barcelona to help its fight against coronavirus.
