Nigeria Records 20 New Coronavirus Cases, Total Now 343
Total Coronavirus infection toll in Nigeria is now 343 as Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms 20 new cases in Nigeria on Monday night.
The centre in a tweet made this known, revealing that 13 new cases were reported in Lagos, 2 cases each in Edo, Kano, Ogun and one case in Ondo.
Twenty new cases of #COVID19 have been reported as follows:
13 in Lagos
2 in Edo
2 in Kano
2 in Ogun

The breakdown of the total Coronavirus cases per state, according to the centre, is as follows; Lagos- 189, FCT- 56, Osun- 20, Edo- 14, Oyo- 11, Ogun- 9, Bauchi- 6, Kaduna- 6, Akwa Ibom- 5, Katsina-5, Kwara- 4, Ondo- 3, Delta- 3, and Kano- 3.
There are also 2 cases in Enugu, Ekiti- 2, Rivers-2, Benue- 1, Niger- 1 and one in Anambra.
According to the centre, there are now 343 total number of Coronavirus cases, 91 discharged cases and 10 deaths.
The total infection toll in Nigeria was at 323 on Sunday night after the NCDC announced five new Coronavirus cases.
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari in a broadcast on Monday night has ordered for the extension of the lockdown in Lagos, Ogun and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) by two weeks.
This is an extension of the initial 14-days lockdown in Lagos, Ogun and FCT ordered by President Buhari on March 29.
However, the extension according to President Buhari is due to the increase in number of confirmed cases and deaths despite the initial 14-days lockdown in those states.
