Sixteen New Coronavirus Cases In Nigeria, Total Now 254
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced sixteen new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria: 10 in Lagos, 2 in the FCT, 2 in Oyo, 1 in Delta and 1 in Katsina.
The centre made this known in a series of tweets on Tuesday night.
NCDC also stated that there are 254 confirmed cases in the country and forty-four have been discharged with six deaths.

In a follow up tweet by the center, there are 130 cases in Lagos, FCT- 50, Osun – 20, Oyo- 11, Edo- 11, Bauchi- 6, Akwa Ibom- 5, Kaduna- 5, Ogun- 4, Enugu- 2, Ekiti- 2, Rivers-2, Kwara- 2 and one each in Benue, Ondo, Delta and Katsina.

On Monday night, NCDC had reported six new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria, 2 in Kwara, 2 in Edo, 1 in Rivers and 1 in the FCT.
This was confirmed this in a tweet from the centre, which stated that as of Monday night, there were 238 confirmed cases and 35 recovered and discharged patients in the country.
In other news, Lagos state commissioner of health, Akin Abayomi, has said local transmission of Coronavirus in the state is increasing.
At a press briefing on Monday, Abayomi explained that as at week four, 82 percent of the COVID-19 cases were imported into the country.
The commissioner explained that the following week, 45 percent of the patients had no travel history – an indication that local transmission was on the rise.
