Total Coronavirus Infection Toll Hit 981 As NCDC Announces 108 New Cases
Total Coronavirus infection toll has hit 981 after Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announces 108 new cases.
This was made known on Thursday night by NCDC in its daily Coronavirus report.
Of the new cases, 78 were reported in Lagos, 14 in FCT, 5 in Ogun, 4 in Gombe, 3 Borno, 2 in Akwa Ibom and one each in Kwara and Plateau.

In a follow up tweet, the centre revealed the breakdown of the cases per state from the worst-hit state ( Lagos – 582) to least-hit states like Benue, Anambra, Adamawa, Sokoto and Plateau, all with one case.

On Wednesday night, NCDC in a series of tweets announced 91 new cases of Coronavirus.
According to one of the tweets yesterday, there were 873 confirmed cases of coronavirus reported in Nigeria, 197 discharged patients and 28 deaths.
With the new cases, there are now 981 Coronavirus cases, 197 discharged patients and 31 deaths across the country.
In an earlier from the centre, NCDC in its COVID-19 situation report for April 22nd stated that 9,522 samples has been tested nationwide.

Meanwhile, Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire has said about 40 health workers have tested positive for coronavirus in the country.
He made this known on Thursday while giving Coronavirus updates during the daily presidential COVID-19 task force briefing.
Dr Osagie, therefore, appealed to medical workers in the frontline of the COVID-19 fight to always protect themselves while giving treatment to infected patients.
