Breaking: 389 New Coronavirus Cases, 116 Recoveries Recorded In Nigeria
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has reported 389 new cases of coronavirus, 5 additional deaths and 116 recoveries late Wednesday.
According to the centre’s latest data posted on Twitter, the cases were confirmed over the last 24 hours.

On Tuesday, the country’s total coronavirus toll was 8,344 with 2,385 discharged patients and 249 causalities.
With the new figures, there are now 8,733 total cases, 2,501 recoveries and 254 death cases across the country.
Also, according to NCDC’s situation report, total samples tested nationwide have increased from 46,803 to 48,544 as at May 26th.
In other news, the Presidential Task Force (PTF) COVID-19 has announced that three out of numerous herbal mixtures touted as ‘coronavirus cure’ have been selected and forwarded to relevant authorities for further investigation.
The Chairman of the PTF, Boss Mustapha made the announcement on Wednesday while briefing journalists in Abuja.
He said the decision was made by the Federal Ministry of Health after holding a virtual meeting with Nigerian Researchers and Scientists.
The PTF Chairman stressed that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is willing to support every research effort.
He, therefore, urged researchers to take up the challenge and come forward to present their innovation.
