Meanwhile, the Director-General of Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has said the agency will not publicly share the test results of Nigerians recently evacuated from Dubai, US and UK.
Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu said this while responding to questions during the Presidential Task Force (PTF) briefing on COVID-19 on Thursday.
He stated that the results of the returnees will be shared only with the evacuees and not made public.
Ihekweazu stressed;
We are doing the test, even when the tests are out we are not going to offer it to you. We will offer it to the returnees. If they are patients we will manage that.
We are not going to make public the results whether you just came back from Dubai or you are living in Nigeria. Results are meant for patients who got tested.
The NCDC DG added that the returnees are still in isolation undergoing the stipulated 14 days of self-isolation.
As at press time, a total of number of 678 Nigerians have been evacuated from Dubai, US and UK as a result of coronavirus pandemic.
