COVID-19: Buhari Receives Madagascar’s Cure, Says It Will Be Verified
President Buhari has received Madagascar’s ‘coronavirus herbal cure’ at the state house in Abuja, it emerged on Saturday evening.
The Personal Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on New Media, Bashir Ahmed made this known via his official Twitter handle.

He tweeted;
President @MBuhari has received the Madagascan native formulation against the COVID–19 pandemic. He reiterated that he will listen to science before allowing traditional or any new medicines to be administered on Nigerians.

Bashir in a follow up tweet said;
We have our institutions, systems and processes in the country. Any such formulations should be sent to them for verification. I will not put it to use without the endorsement of our institutions, President Buhari has said, after receiving the Madagascan COVID-Organics, today.

President Umaro Sissoco Embalo of Guinea Bissau delivered the samples of the traditional medicine as shared to African nations by Madagascar.
The ‘coronavirus cure’ is a herbal tea launched on April 20th by the Madagascan President Andry Rajoelina developed in the country.
Rajoelina in the ‘spirit of Africa’ sent samples of the herbal tea to some African countries after dividing the countries into zones for ease of transportation. Nigeria’s sample was sent to Guinea which was delivered today.
