Juventus Striker, Paulo Dybala Finally Recovers From Coronavirus After Six Weeks Of First Diagnosis
Juventus forward, Paulo Dybala has fully recovered from coronavirus six weeks after he was originally diagnosed.
On March 21, the Argentine forward revealed that he and his girlfriend, Oriana Sabatini, had been diagnosed with COVID-19.
The 26-year-old, who had previously tested positive for coronavirus four times in six week announced his recovery via Instagram on Wednesday.
He posted a picture of himself with a caption that read;
My face says it all, I’m finally cured from COVID-19.
A statement from the Juventus football club which confirmed his health status reads;
Paulo Dybala performed, as per protocol, a double-check with diagnostic tests (swabs) for Coronavirus-Covid 19, which came back with negative results.
The player has, therefore, recovered and will no longer be subjected to the home isolation regime.
However, Dybala did not reveal if his girlfriend is also coronavirus-free.
Meanwhile, German Chancellor, Angela Merkel has approved the resumption of Bundesliga football season this month.
It will become the first major league in Europe to return to competition despite the coronavirus pandemic.
Football clubs have been told by the German Football League (DFL) that it wants to restart on 15 May. All matches will be played behind closed doors.
With nine games remaining, Bayern Munich are top of the table, four points above Borussia Dortmund.
The start date will be confirmed on Thursday after the 36 clubs and the DFL have met via video conferencing app.
