Many Nigerians have cried out to the Federal Government and Kaduna state Government led by Governor El-Rufai to intervene in the gruesome killings going on in Southern Kaduna communities.
These attacks which are being perpetuated by armed Fulani herdsmen have been recurring since 2016.
Since January 2020 to date, killings, maiming, burning, looting and kidnappings have continued unabated from village to village in Southern Kaduna, dominated by Christians.
It was gathered that between January and May, there have been over 63 terrorist attacks in which over 107 people have been killed and over 50 persons injured including women and children.
Several houses in different communities have been razed down by fire, displacing over 20,000 persons, especially in the last two weeks.
According to reports, the assailants from May 19 to 24 attacked Idazau, Etissi, Bakin Kogi, Dutsen Gora, UN Gora, Pushu Kallah and Magunguna villages killing five persons, injuring 78, destroying 607 houses and rustling 231 cows in the process.
At least 51 people have also been reported missing from these attacks.
Churches such as the Catholic Church in Idazau, ECWA in Etiissi, ECWA in Bakin Kogi as well as ECWA in Magunguna were also razed to the ground during the attacks.
Awemi Dio Maisamari, National President of Adara Development Association (ADA), in a statement lamented that;
Our records show that from 2016 to date, more than 209 terrorist incidents and attacks have occurred. In these incidents, almost 722 lives were lost, 198 persons were injured, 231 persons were abducted or detained and millions of naira was paid as ransom.
There were also more than 817houses (in addition about 38 whole villages) destroyed, unquantified properties were destroyed and 30,000 persons displaced to date.
Many Nigerians, using social media as a tool for change, have now cried out to the Federal and Kaduna state government to come to the rescue of residents of these communities under daily attacks.

The endless attacks in Southern Kaduna are condemnable. No land, or revenge or whatever it is, is a good enough justification for the continuous slaughter of innocent souls. This sort of barbaric attacks on villages and communities should have been a thing of the past.

There’s a lack of concern for the plight of the people of Southern Kaduna, both shown by the Presidency and the Governor of Kaduna State.
And this is wrong, to put it mildly

The pictures from the attacks in Southern Kaduna is alarming. What exactly is happening? How long will these terrifying attacks on innocent souls continue to happen? What measures are the State Government taking to further prevent these killings #SouthernKadunaGenocide

It is devilish to tag the ongoing mass murder in Southern Kaduna as Farmers herders clashes or reprisals.
How can u call a situation where armed terrorists from God knows where invade a community & hack sleeping women & children to dead as reprisals?#SouthernKadunaGenocide

What will it take to get an official statement about what is reportedly going on in Southern Kaduna from the constituted authorities there?
These reports are too loud and graphic for this kind of long silence…

This is just to let you know that while we all focussed on Coronavirus, hundreds of people are killed and harmed in Southern Kaduna by terrorists.
Men. Women. Children.
Killed and buried in shallow graves.I don’t know why the government is not bothered. But this is NOT okay.

Are you aware that @elrufai is usually active on Twitter? But not once has he mentioned the genocide taking place in Southern Kaduna which is also part of his domain and he calls himself the Governor. That silence is deafening

The @UN is silent above the killings in Southern Kaduna, Nigeria but they rather speak for and protect Historical Sites than a few worthless Black African lives.
When will the UN declare this a genocide? When will the world arise to these massacres? pic.twitter.com/o6UW0YbnXx— JollyEdem (@EdemJolly) May 26, 2020
It’s evil for the authorities to attempt to underplay the massacre in Christian-dominated Southern Kaduna by using the “Farmers/Herders Clash” tag. What about these children whose blooming life has been cut short by these atttacks? Are they farmers too? Save Southern Kaduna pic.twitter.com/VSu6gmtrQV
