Unclad Ogoni Women Protest To Reject Positive Test Result Of Manager Of Demolished Hotel In Rivers

in Rivers State have staged a peaceful protest to reject the positive COVID-19 status of manager of Prodest Hotel, that was demolished under the supervision of the state governor, Nyesom Wike, on May 10.

The Rivers state government on Monday May 25, announced that Bariledum Azoroh, the manager of the hotel, was among the 27 new cases of coronavirus recorded in the State on Sunday.

Azoroh and other patients are now in Rivers’ isolation centre.

The report was however countered by the owner of the hotel, Promise Gogorobari, who claims Azoroh is not positive to coronavirus but is being illegally detained.

The Ogoni women in protest were seen unclad carrying placards with inscriptions demanding for Azoroh’s immediate release from the state’s isolation center.
