Breaking: COVID-19 Total Toll Exceeds 19,000 As NCDC Reports 667 New Cases
Coronavirus infections toll in Nigeria has exceeded the 19,000 mark as the country records 667 new COVID-19 cases in 22 states and the federal capital territory (FCT).
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made the announcement late Friday via its Twitter handle, bringing total confirmed infections to 19,147 cases.
Its tweet reads;

The new toll comes a day after surpassing the 18,000 mark by recording 18,480 total cases.
Also, with the record of 274 newly discharged patients, there are now 6581 successfully managed cases.
However, coronavirus death toll increased from 475 confirmed yesterday to 487.
Meanwhile, total samples tested nationwide have moved from 106,006 to 108,548 as at June 18th, according to NCDC’s situation report.
In other news, Lagos state has discharged 98 coronavirus patients from its isolation facilities after full recovery.
Lagos State Ministry of Health (LSMOH) announced this on its official Twitter page on Friday, stating that the discharged patients include 27 females and 71 males.
The ministry added that 23 of the patients were discharged from Onikan, Agidingbi (17), Paelon centre (1), Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital (4), Eti-Osa LandMark (17), and LUTH (22).
There are now a total of 1283 successfully managed cases in Lagos.
