Breaking: “I Accept Dissolution Of APC NWC” – Oshiomhole
Adams Oshiomhole, former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has accepted the decision of the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) to dissolve the National Working Committee (NWC) which he once led.
The NWC was dissolved by the party’s NEC on the recommendation of President Buhari on Thursday following crisis in the party that emerged from choosing an acting national chairman to replace suspended Oshiomole.

A court of appeal had upheld the suspension of the former Edo state Governor as National Chairman of the party.
Addressing a press conference in Abuja on Saturday, Oshiomhole has now accepted the dissolution, adding that he has asked his lawyers to withdraw an appeal at the Supreme court over his suspension.
Oshiomhole also pledged his loyalty to the ruling party, saying that his loyalty to President Buhari remains unshaken.
According to him, the real test of his loyalty is not when things are going smoothly but when things suddenly become rough.
He stated;
We (NWC) have now been dissolved and I have accepted that dissolution in good fate. I have always assured the President of my loyalty. I know it is easy for people to speak of loyalty when the going is good but loyalty is brought to the test when the going gets really tough.
There has been crisis in the party after a faction of the NWC loyal to Oshiomole appointed former Oyo State Governor Abiola Ajimobi who is now late as acting National Chairman.
Another faction chose Victor Giadom as the legal National Chairman in accordance with a court ruling.
However, in the bid to settle the issues, the NWC was dissolved and a Caretaker Committee headed by Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni was created during the NEC meeting.
Members of the Oshiomhole-led faction rejected the dissolution and threatened to go to court to seek redress.

They insisted that the Party’s emergency NEC meeting sanctioned and attended by President Buhari, Governors and the leadership of the National Assembly among others was illegal.
The faction also claimed that Victor Giadom who convened the meeting was not empowered by the APC Constitution to do so.
With Oshiomhole’s acceptance of the dissolution it is expected that there will be no court case to challenge the action of the NEC.
