Breaking: NCDC Confirms 501 New COVID-19 Cases, 210 Recoveries
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has confirmed 501 new cases of coronavirus and 210 recoveries on Saturday night.
According to the centre’s latest data posted on Twitter, the new toll was confirmed over the last 24 hours.
NCDC’s tweet reads;

On Friday, the country’s total coronavirus exceeded the 15,000 mark, having 15,181 cases with 4,891 discharged patients and 399 causalities.
With the new toll, there are now 15,682 total cases, 5,101 recoveries and 407 death cases across the country.
Also, according to NCDC’s situation report, total samples tested nationwide have increased from 88,432 to 90,464 as at June 12th.
Meanwhile, Siddi Buba, Deputy Speaker of Gombe State House of Assembly, has contracted coronavirus.
He disclosed his COVID-19 status to the state-owned media corporation.
The deputy speaker, who represents Kwami West in the state sixth assembly, has now joined other government officials on self-isolation.
Buba is the sixth lawmaker to test positive after the speaker and four others had earlier tested positive for COVID-19.
He said;
Coronavirus is real and every laid down protocol should be respected. Physical distancing, use of sanitiser, and face masks are sure means of escaping the pandemic.
