Breaking: Nigeria’s COVID-19 Toll Exceeds 21,000 As NCDC Confirms 452 New Cases
Nigeria has recorded over 21,000 COVID-19 cases after Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed 452 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday night.
NCDC, announcing the new cases via its official Twitter handle, said;

The new toll comes two days after surpassing the 20,000 mark by recording 20,244 total cases.
Total coronavirus cases in Nigeria have now jumped from 20,919 confirmed on Monday to 21371 infections.
Number of fatalities have also increased from 525 to 533, while the number of discharged patients increased from 7109 recorded to 7338 successfully managed cases.
Meanwhile, total samples tested nationwide have moved from 115,760 to 117,569 as at June 23rd, according to NCDC’s situation report.
In other news, the Federal Government has submitted proposed guidelines for the reopening of schools across the country to the National Assembly.
The Minister of State for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba made the presentation on Tuesday during a meeting with the Senate Committee on Basic and Secondary Education.
He intimated the lawmakers of the ministry’s plans for students to resume across the country
The FG had in March shut schools across the Federation as part of measures to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus disease.
