Breaking: Nigeria‘s Total COVID-19 Toll Exceeds 11,000 As NCDC Confirms 348 New Cases
Nigeria’s tally of COVID-19 cases has risen to over 11,000 as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms 348 new infections.
The centre made the announcement late Wednesday via its Twitter handle, bringing total confirmed infections to 11,166.

The new toll comes four days after total infections figure in Nigeria spiked to over 10,000 cases, indicating that an additional 1004 cases were recorded between Sunday and Wednesday, June 3rd – about 10 per cent increase.
Also, with the record of 90 newly discharged patients, there are now 3329 successfully managed cases.
However, death toll rose by one new death, increasing total coronavirus casualties from 314 confirmed yesterday to 315.
Meanwhile, overall samples tested nationwide have increased from 65,885 to 69,801 as at June 2nd, according to NCDC’s situation report.
In other news, the NCDC has activated the 30th molecular laboratory coronavirus centre in the country.
The centre is located at National Intelligence Agency, Abuja.
It also stated that two other centers in Kwara and Gombe are in progress.
