Breaking: Police Seals Off APC Secretariat In Abuja
The crisis rocking the All Progressives Congress (APC) has taken a new dimension on Tuesday as policemen sealed off the National Secretariat of the party in Abuja.
Based on the order of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, the operatives stormed the premises on Tuesday.
The officers also blocked members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party from gaining entry into the complex.
The IG order through the FCT Commissioner of Police, to the APC Chief Security Officer, directed the NWC members to stay away from their building.
This comes as the party’s leadership remains divided over who takes over as the Acting National Chairman, following the suspension of the National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole.
The leadership crisis deepened after Victor Giadom, a member of APC, appointed himself the Acting Chairman of the party, despite court order disapproving.
IGP Adamu is to meet with the two opposing camps of NWC at the Force Headquarters on Tuesday to resolve all pending issues.
A follow-up order is expected after Adamu’s meeting with the NWC camps.
