Breaking: Total COVID-19 Toll In Nigeria Surpasses 12,000 As NCDC Announces 389 New Cases
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has announced that the country has recorded over 12,000 coronavirus infections, just 4 days after reporting over 11,000 cases.
The new toll comes as the centre confirms 389 new infections via its Twitter page on Saturday night.
Its tweet reads;

It would be recalled that on June 3rd, 11,166 cases were recorded, indicating that between then and June 6th, 1,067 additional cases were confirmed.
Also, with the record of 130 newly discharged patients, there are now 3,826 successfully managed cases.
However, death toll grew by 9 deaths, increasing total coronavirus casualties from 333 confirmed yesterday to 342.
Meanwhile, total samples tested nationwide have moved from 73,064 to 74,999 as at June 5th,according to NCDC’s situation report.
In other news, Lagos state has discharged 42 coronavirus patients from its isolation facilities after full recovery.
Lagos State Ministry of Health (LSMOH) announced this on its official Twitter page on Saturday, stating that the discharged patients include 11 females and 31 males.
The ministry added that 20 were discharged from Gbagada, 11 from Eti-Osa (LandMark) and 11 from Lekki Isolation Centres.
With this, the number of coronavirus cases that have been successfully managed and discharged in Lagos is now 994.
