COVID-19: FG Evacuates Another 145 Nigerians Stranded Abroad
Federal Government has evacuated a new batch of 145 stranded Nigerians in diaspora, it emerged on Friday.
The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) announced this via its Twitter handle.
According to NiDCOM, the returnees arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at about 12:45 pm, via Air Sudan but details of where they were repatriated from is yet to be known.
All evacuees will proceed on 14 days self-isolation as mandated by the Nigeria Center For Disease Control (NCDC) and the Federal Ministry of Health and Presidential Task Force (PTF).

According to NiDCOM, all evacuated persons tested negative for coronavirus before being evacuated.

Their return comes just hours after another set of 167 Nigerians returned to the country from South Africa.
They arrived Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport at exactly 9:10pm Local time on Airpeace flight 5N-BVE from Johannesburg.

45 evacuees disembarked Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, and at about 9:50 pm the plane left for Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos with 122 evacuees.

Meanwhile, about 18 stranded Nigerians in some European Countries have departed citizenM Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, France to Murtala Muhammed Int’l Airport, Lagos in a repatriation exercise coordinated by the Nigerian Mission in France monitored by NiDCOM.
