Her Account Has Been Taken Over – Nigerians Reacts To Dbanj’s Music Being Promoted On Seyitan’s Twitter Account
Singer Dbanj has come under fire for allegedly taking over the Twitter account of his rape accuser, Seyitan Babatayo to promote his music and coercing her into recanting her rape allegation.
There has been drama since Seyitan in early June accused Dbanj of raping her on December 30, 2018.
Dbanj in his first response to the allegation petitioned the police to investigate the statement.
Seyitan reacted to the petition by demanding a public and private apology from the artiste for allegedly raping her in her hotel room two years ago.
Some days after, the ‘Koko Master’ crooner in a letter released on Tuesday demanded the sum of N100 million from the alleged victim within 48 hours as compensation for falsely accusing him or face legal action.

However, the lady was on same day arrested and detained till Wednesday after journalist Kiki Mordi cried out about her ‘unlawful’ arrest.
There are now unconfirmed reports about her going missing after being allegedly released from police custody.
A Communication Strategist, Chioma Agwuegbo raised the alarm, claiming that she was ‘nowhere to be found’ and that she was coerced to use her Twitter account to promote Dbanj’s music by the artiste’s team.
Many other Nigerians also believe she was forced to delete her previous tweets where she detailed her alleged rape experience as well as recant her statements while in police custody.
The trend of happenings have since sparked reactions from many Nigerians.
See some reactions below;
Dbanj’s social media accounts haven’t shared that promo video yet but somehow Seyitan can tweet it?

Seyitan did not get home last night. She was taken and is being held by @iamdbanj’s manager and under pressure to recant her statement. This is not right. This is kidnapping. This is intimidation. This is a human rights violation. Fuck everyone involved in this bullshit.

Whoever is handling that Seyitan babe’s account is wicked. Man deleted her rape allegation tweets and has been using her account to promote DBanj’s project. PR aiye.

It will be wise to take a break from this whole Dbanj and Seyitan story until whatever is happening becomes clearer.
For now, the information trickling into Twitter are all from well-known sensationalists.

Yesterday this happened! With support from feminists we were able to get her out of police custody, we woke up to the news that @iamdbanj‘s manager kidnapped Seyitan from the police station, she’s being held against her will at his Ikoyi residence. https://t.co/Kyr9ARkO5U

They are using Seyitan’s account to promote Dbanj’s new music Lmaoooooooooo, Very Poor publicity stunt.

One thing I want people to keep in mind as we watch the whole DBanj story unfold is that it doesn’t have to be DBanj. Anybody with just a little bit of money can get the police to bend to your will like this. Police doesn’t protect ordinary people here.

I’m normally against cancel culture but Dbanj is cancelled in my books for real if this all some sort of publicity stunt. 🤮
— Timini Egbuson (@_Timini) June 18, 2020
If Dbanj is actually doing this for publicity stunt, then he fucked up,
And it’s disappointing and annoying…— Engineer Tolu Tezzy_ 💧 (@tolutezzy_) June 18, 2020
Lol you guys the promo Seyitan’s account is tweeting are not even on Dbanj’s page yet.
Do we look foolish to this guy and his team? Mad people
— Jola (@Jollz) June 18, 2020
Nah Dbanj isn’t tryna get justice. He’s not tryna clear his name. He’s trying to silence Seyitan. You arrest her, give her no access to legal assistance & then take over socials ? Hide information that benefits your agenda ? RIGHT BEFORE OUR EYES ?? What can we do for @seyitannn_
— ebele. (@ebelee_) June 17, 2020
That was a very stupid move from DBanj and his team
If you are innocent, that’s definitely not the way to go about it
— Your Kemosabe (@DemolaTweets) June 18, 2020
Fuck @iamdbanj for this, and all his other evil behavior (because you know there has to be more). Bastard nonsense.
— Wona Toluwala (@WonaToluwala) June 18, 2020
WE CANNOT ALLOW MONEY/POWER/STATUS to silence @seyitannn_ !!!!
@iamdbanj you are foul & disgusting. I knew that from our ‘encounter’ in LA. But this?? No.— Dorcas Shola Fapson (@Ms_DSF) June 18, 2020
Still trying to unravel what I’m reading on the TL about rape allegations against Dbanj and imprisonment of the victim.
Like what the heck!!??

Absolute power corrupts Absolutely!
I am disgusted beyond measure! Is this a bid to show your power and control @iamdbanj ? It can’t be to prove your innocence? if anything the last few hours have raised and pointed more questioning fingers at yourself, your team and @PoliceNG— abimbola craig (@CraigAbimbola) June 18, 2020
Whoever is handling that Seyitan babe’s account just want to confuse dbanj and every one of us here ….
I mean dbanj is yet to promote that song on his page and seyitan is promoting already
There is plenty hands in this case #seyitan #dbanj— adewale 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬 (@wax_akor) June 18, 2020
Hey @iamdbanj nothing must happen to that girl and her family. If you think you are not guilty, go to court and prove it. Stop bullying the poor girl and her family.

…and I hope Dbanj and his cohorts realizes this will push other victims forward.
I really hope they do, this fight and culture can’t go down empty.— 🍷 (@lhizzy__) June 18, 2020
