Nollywood actress, Lala Akindoju has debunked rumors of the demise of veteran thespian, Olu Jacobs.
The internationally recognized actor and film executive was rumored to have died on Tuesday, June 9th, making him the No 1 trend on micro-blogging platform, Twitter, as some confirmed the news while others wondered how true the report was.
Lala Akindoju however made a tweet minutes late declaring that Olu Jacobs is alive, hale and hearty.
Uncle Olu Jacobs is alive and well. Very much so. I just got off the phone with him. Please stop spreading fake news

Olu Jacobs is hailed by many as one of the greatest African actors of his generation.
He trained at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, England and starred in several British television series and international films.
Jacobs who is fondly called Uncle Olu is considered by several media, film critics, and other actors as one of the most influential African actors of all time, and is widely regarded as a cultural icon.
With more than 40 years acting experience, Jacobs is seen as a bridge between the old and new generation of actors.
The renown thespian is married to veteran actress Joke Silva (pictured over) with three children, one of whom died years ago.
