Twitter Users React As Former Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke Secures Immunity Against Extradition Through Dominican Citizenship
Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s move to secure the extradition of the former minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke to face charges of N23.29 billion poll bribery scandal, has suffered setback following her alleged citizenship in the Commonwealth of Dominica.
MDB earlier reported that Diezani was issued a diplomatic passport, DP0000445 by the Dominican Government on May 21, 2015 shortly before the handover to President Buhari by ex-President Goodluck Jonathan.
She was subsequently appointed as a Trade and Investment Commissioner for the Commonwealth of Dominica, which was confirmed by the Prime Minister of the country, Roosevelt Kerry.
Her citizenship in Dominica makes her immune to any form of persecution and cannot be extradited.
The report has since sparked reactions from many Nigerians on Twitter, as many wonder whether her extradition to face trial is totally impossible.

While we’re still watching how to get away with murder, our own Diezani madueke was busy planning on how to get away with looting. Man even became a commissioner in the Dominican republic. I just cannot can.

Diezani Alison-Madueke stole $2.5 B in Nigeria.
In Dominican Republic ,if you make an investment of $ 200 000,they grant you Citizenship.
Madueke gave them so much that she was not only granted citizenship but also a political appointment.

Scenes when Diezani sits opposite the Nigerian Trade Reps in future to negotiate trade agreements for her country Dominica and sits there with a straight face and hits them Nigerians with “I want to do what’s best for my country”

If Diezani enters a country that has an extradition treaty with Nigeria, she can be arrested and sent back to Nigeria. The tiny island of Dominica will only write angry letters and bellyache. She knows this and will not step foot on certain soils for a long time to come.

EFCC is the greatest PR of all time in Nigeria.
They arrested Naira Marley and made him a superstar.
They arrested Diezani Allison-Madueke and made her an investment commissioner in Dominican Republic.😂😂🤝

Diezani got Dominican citizenship just about the time she left office. Well planned, properly thought through and superbly executed; her ‘escape.’
Nah, this mama chess move needs to be made into a Netflix series cos na potential blockbuster.

The sad moral of Diezani’s story is that when you want to steal, steal so much that just 10% of your loot well distributed will set you free and give you eternal life.
Maybe she gave the govt $50m for govt appointment and immunity. A country that gives citizenship if you pay $2m

Diezani is a smart, intelligent kleptomaniac. Abacha was a learner. If she’s not made to cough out every Kobo she has stolen, this will be the new trend for public office holders.

They need to make a netflix special for diezani because how did this woman run away from efcc after stealing billions, is actively on their watch list, but yet was just granted a position as a trade and investment commissioner in DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

One of President Buhari’s Failure would be finishing his tenure without arresting Diezani
I will find it hard to forgive him for not arresting the biggest looter in the history of Nigeria
