A University of Ibadan postgraduate student, Shomuyiwa Azeezat has been allegedly raped and killed in Ijefun area at Akinyele Local Government, Oyo state.
It was gathered that the lady was 7 months pregnant when the incident happened in her apartment on Thursday night.
Eyewitnesses found a big stone near her mattress, leading to speculation that her head which was covered with blood was smashed with the stone.
Azeezat who graduated from University of Ilorin was allegedly killed in the same area in Ibadan where Barakat was raped and killed on June 3rd.
It would be recalled that Bello Barakat, an 18-year-old lady was raped and stabbed to death by her attackers in her family’s house at Akinyele Local Government Area of Ibadan, Oyo state.
The incident has now sparked outcry on social media as many Nigerians on Twitter lamented the recent rape incidents in the country. Some wondered whether the same attacker raped and killed Barakat and Azeezat.

According to a Twitter user @highbeekay124, who is supposedly the assistant secretary-general of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Zone D, a suspect has been arrested by Oyo state police command.
